Guidelines:

TMAF networks with Tampa Bay venues who promote local art in established gallery settings.

  • TMAF charges no member dues. All shows are open to local artists regardless of their membership in art societies that we service.
  • Unless otherwise noted, ENTRY FEES ARE $5 PER WORK. They cover the cost of art title cards, promotional materials, and upkeep of the easels and display equipment. (...Some venues assess lease dues which may result in entry fees jumping higher than stated.)
  • TMAF assesses NO COMMISSIONS on sales. (...However some of our venues do, and we will note this in the Call to Artists paperwork)
  • Our goal is art sales... as such we do not present exhibits with awards... "We would rather invest in advertising to promote your art than in judging fees and ribbons."
  • Our goal is art sales... please reserve your NFS ("Not For Sale") works for other exhibits.
  • Artworks should be properly wired for hanging and free of damage. Damaged works will be rejected.
  • Entries close when the venue is filled. Artists should assume all exhibits are "first come, first serve."
  • Your works will hang with a 3x4 Art Title Card that lists 1.) your name, 2.) your title, 3.) your medium, 4.) your phone # or email address...
  • Artworks may be rejected if they depict subject matter that is not family friendly or is inadmissible by the venue's standards... for instance: artwork depicting nudity, sex, violence, racism or hate against cultures, political groups, or religions will be rejected.
  • You may request custom information be added to your title card such as the cost of a print, or your website address, please use this opportunity to your advantage.
  • From time to time we may ask for small sample JPG images of your works which will appear on posters, social media, and mailings to promote our shows. Photographs of the exhibit WILL APPEAR on social media postings to drive visitors to the venue(s).
  • WE EXPECT ARTISTS TO BE PROACTIVE... PLEASE DO YOUR PART BY PROMOTING THE EXHIBIT ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE AND INVITING YOUR FRIENDS TO VISIT.

"I want to host art in my building"

The Talentum Meritus Arts Foundation is a fine arts advocacy group which arranges public art exhibitions, throughout Tampa Bay, to benefit up-and-coming talent, underrecognized creatives and career artists of proven talent. We partner with like-minded business managers and promoters of arts and expression to create new opportunities to showcase art that captures Tampa Bay's culture, history and creative impetus.

TMAF networks with venues and businesses in the community, seeking out business owners and individuals, who embrace the arts, and prompting them to support our local artists through the most simple of means. The best example of stewardship that a business or venue can offer is the right to showcase the works of local artists upon their walls for a generous span of time. The benefits that this offers are both symbiotic and synergistic, with artists gaining the space to exhibit their art and earn a profit, and with the business benefitting from the increased flow of traffic and the appreciation of their patrons. Our typical art exhibitions promote from thirty to fifty pieces of art, and exhibitions normally last from one to two months. A large exhibition can amass upwards of one hundred or more artworks. The scale of the exhibit we assemble is largely dependent upon the needs and accommodations of the venue that hosts it.

Unless indicated otherwise by our participating artists, the works exhibited are available for sale to the patrons of the venue. All artworks on exhibit hang with an inobtrusive card which states vital details regarding each artwork – namely the artist’s name, the title of the artwork, the media that was used to create it, the price of the artwork, and the phone number or email address of the artist. All sales are conducted through the artists themselves.

Do you believe art is instrumental to the good of the community? Do you have the space to exhibit a show?
